WEST Course: Low Carbon Building Principles

WEST’s next course, Low Carbon Building Principles will be launching in May 2014.

The course is based on research from the LCRI’s Low Carbon Built Environment project, and is aimed at people working within the construction and building industry in Wales. It will be delivered via a blended learning format, including a mixture of on-line learning (which starts end of May 2014) and face to face sessions in venues across Wales, which will take place in the middle of June.

Low Carbon Building Principles will provide students with an understanding of the key principles involved in Low Carbon Building, through an integrated approach to the subject. The content will include reasons for decarbonising the built environment, what Low Carbon means for new buildings, and fundamental steps towards Low Carbon Building.

This course is available to anyone living or working within a Welsh Convergence area.
