The 2013 LCRI Conference will focus on Low Carbon Market Transitions. Looking at the work of the LCRI in the current economic climate, with speakers discussing the ways our research is having an impact upon the Welsh economy, by developing technologies and services, and creating jobs.
The conference will bring together researchers, policy makers and industry to look holistically at the low carbon agenda. It will focus on the R&D and innovation needed to deliver governmental policy objectives in Wales, the UK and internationally, together with the technological, economic and social challenges and opportunities this will involve.
Keynote speakers will include Professor Phillip Jones, Head of School and Director of Architectural Science, Cardiff University, Alun Davies, Minister for Natural Resources and Food, Dr David Clarke, Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Technologies Institute, Jim Watson, Research Director of the UK Energy Research Centre and Malcolm Grimston, Senior Research Fellow, Imperial College London.
This will be an opportunity to hear from each of our projects, to learn in-depth information into our research and progress, as well as to understand the work of the larger LCRI as a whole.
